Here you will find instructions and an easy to use chart to determine the
correct screen size to order for your home.
Screen Width
Measure from the side jamb where the edge of the door closes, across to the center of the side rail of the fixed glass panel. You may also measure your exisiting screen width for this dimension.
For widths other than 30", 36", or 48" please call our customer service representatives at 413-568-5730 Monday through Friday 8:00 - 4:30 est for a custom door.
Screen Height
There are two common types of top channels for patio screen doors, and
each one is measured differently.
The first type is a raised track, or rail, that matches the bottom track or rail.
The second type has NO track or rail on the top. It fits into a u-shaped channel.
Track Type 1
Measure from the top of the bottom track to the bottom of the top track and add 3/8" to that dimension.
U-Channel Type 2
Measure from the top of the bottom track to the highest point inside the u-channel up top and Subtract 1/8" from that dimension.
Measure how deep the u-channel top section is. If this dimension is 1" or more you must order a door with an adjustable expander.
